Pick your new company based on how shares and wealth are distributed. Total compensation matters; paycheck too, just paycheck is not the only focus.

See how teams are executing and who are team leaders. Your boss is not the CEO, and even if he is, the CEO hardly manages anybody. The reason C-level reports to the CEO is that they do not need management.

If the company promotes the Ninja mindset, meaning promoting single individual actions, leave ASAP. There is no way to win in such a silly game of lateral competition without focusing on the customer and going forward.

Ask for teams and individual KPIs and OKRs.

See who was fired for what reason. Who can become rich because he did something special, or is there no reward for doing something special, especially if the team did it?
